Discuss the episode "The Mark of Nimueh".

IMO by far the most heart-touching; the 'plague' affected real people and it spread so fast! Loved the bit at the end where Morgana was talking to Merlin about Gwen and he thought it his powers were uncovered! Merlin really can be an idiot sometimes

Lol, so funny when he bursts through the court doors and says 'Gwen's not the sorcerer; I am! [thrusts arms wide open]' then after Arthur saves him, he just turns and leaves quietly. What a big fuss over nothing hehe, bless him.

Good episode, but I kinda felt like the whole "beast in the water" thing was a little anticlimactic. It was a great idea, but the confrontation in the caves was a little silly. Sorry to be harping on the CGI so early on, but the creature kinda looked like a gorilla covered in mud the rest of the episode was really good, though

They credited an actor as playing it - that may have been a costume.

Also, The Mill are brilliant, almost flawless. They do the CGI in Doctor Who and Torchwood (and I'm sure many others) too. I'm a bit mistified about Nimueh...she knows about Merlin and Arthur's destiney and she's very much involved with it.. but nothing ever happens with her? Does anybody know more about this..?

I think Nimueh's supposed to be the Lady of the Lake, but correct me if I'm wrong. Thus, she should turn up again. Unless your question meant something different?

This was quite a cool ep. Perfect for Merlin/Gwen shippers, one of which USED to be me. I still think they're cute, but nothing beats the two boys!" The scene between Merlin and Gwen in the cells when she says "remember me" was truly touching, but the Merthur moment following that was even cuter! I love it when Arthur protects Merlin!!!
