Really good epi. I really liked how Arthur was all heroic and went off in the forest to save Merlin. As an avid shipper, that gave me a lot of material to work with but I didn't really get that whole random kiss thing with Gwen and Merlin. They have no chemistry whatsoever, so that was kinda pointless.

A nice bit of dashing heroism from Arthur, which made me happy, but I spent half of it having a go at my TV. Seriously - just because she's pretty, doesn't mean Nimueh's good! I always seem to forget that the TV can't hear me.
The Gwen/Merlin thing was . . . odd. I had a feeling it might happen, but so early on?

I like Gwen/Merlin (gasp), but the whole thing did seem shoe-horned in. I guess someone must've told the writers that Arthur and Merlin were being too gay or something lame like that.
And, man, Nimueh must be psychic. She planned that Uther would force Merlin to drink the poison? That's a bit of a gamble.
But, all in all, good episode.

Nimueh and Uther, I reckon, were VERY close at one point. *ships it* That explains why he seems to have such personal feelings about magic. She's not psychic, she just knows him very well.

That'd be really interesting. But I still prefer the psychic theory.

She could see it in her watery prophetic stone basin thing. Or she must've taken Psychology at uni ;D
I enjoyed this episode but it's a shame Merlin was bed-ridden for most of it.
Has anybody played the online game of this on the Merlin site by the way?!

OK, now THIS is my favorite ep EVER!! I have lost count of how many Merthur scenes were in this! Lets start with the banter at the beginning with Arthur showing Merlin what he'll be wearing- some definite flirting going on there! wink wink! Then the whole scene with the poison, which went off the Merthur scale after Arthur gave Merlin a "nooooo" look when he fell, and immediatelly ran to his side infront of the whole court! True love! Then the scene with Uther was so cute, and how he rode out anyway. And yes, you know I'll say it, "Arthur... Arthur! Faster! Go fatser! Move!" No explanation needed I hope lol! Sooo slashy. Their lovely scene at the end was lovely too, plus all the bits in between that I missed- I said there was so much!!
