Nooooooooo !!!! i wanted arthur to find out ! damn..i thought this would be the episode lol such a good episode though. Hopefully when he does find out it will be a very action filled episode ;D gahhh its still bugging me though i really did think he would find out and made myself all excited. In this ep did u see gwen and arthur getting closer ? definatly something developing there maybe ... arthur really does care so much about merlin, i just had to go "awwwh" at some points in the episode , next weeks ep is looking good

Wow...such a slashy episode!! Agreed! ;D However, I also thought I saw something between Arthur and Gwen... although that could have just been my imagination going into overdrive cos it's such a rare occurence to see them together! Actually, it's quite rare to see all four of the younger characters (Merlin, Arthur, Gwen and Morgana) working so closely together, but it worked really well. On the whole it was a great episode, but at the same time quite infuriating! When Merlin's friend died I thought he was either going to make it his dying wish that Arthur forgave Merlin for being a sorcerer or do what he ended up doing and lying on Merlin's behalf. Of course, the preferred option would have been the former, so I was kinda disappointed that it wasn't! Well, I think I'm now gonna stand by my initial prediction - that Arthur will find out about Merlin's magic right at the end of the series and the cliffhanger will be whether he tells or keeps it a secret. I guess only time will tell, but I can't see how much longer they can keep the show going if Arthur does decide to spill the beans...

Good episode! Was a little bummed that Arthur didn't find out, but seeing his initial reaction about it, it will be a better time to reveal it. Merlin needs to make little things (aka episode 4 with the lightball thingy in the cave) and such to get Arthur away from the "magic=bad" thinking, and ease him up a bit before telling the whole truth are we sure it's gonna be an cliffhanger ending?, but I will take a wild guess that Arthur will find out in the last episode or at least he will get a hunch. Overall, liked that women stood up "we can fight to!" and Arthur didn't reject them. (I can imagine at those times women weren't allowed to do anything basically at those times) The slashiness of the episode was woot, Merlin's mum is a wise woman "He must care for you a great deal" and can't forget Arthur helped merlin with his armour - reversed roles! Sad that Merlin's friend had to die Next episode looks good, unicorns!

I thought this episode was great too - and very slashy. It felt like the kids had been left home alone while they're parents went out (well Gaius and Uther anyway) and as I have said before I love the 4 younger ones working together. The Arthur and Gwen moment was handled nicely - a nudge in the right direction. It wasn't anywhere near as awkward as when they try and script moments with Merlin and Gwen.
All the Merlin/Arthur scenes were fantastic - I espescially loved when they were staying up talking before going to bed and Athur helping Merlin with his armour was espescially brilliant.
Morganna's armour made her look fantastic - and she can certainly handle herself in battle! I'm surprised she hasn't noticed Merlin's magic - the fire starting stunt was basically done under her nose and she already has some suspicions. The "when will Arthur find out" story is too good to give away just yet, although I really want him to find out soon!
I'm not sure bout next weeks ep - Unicorns? - yuck. I will withold further judgement til I actually see it!

Was wondering, as Uther said bringing an army to the [name's] territory would mean an act of war, is it still when Arthur came? (as the leader knew his name) would this mean we will see a war coming? I'm not sure bout next weeks ep - Unicorns? - yuck. I will withold further judgement til I actually see it! hehe, I have a thing for horses ;D after watching teh movie "Legend" they hold a special place in my heart ^^

^^ Well I've read the spoilers and I think it's a good story line Anyway, yeah first thoughts on the episode... SLASH! I mean, come on, sleeping on the floor together Don't know if anybody saw the floppy long-haired man I was talking about last week, I only caught him three times but that was enough for me. I so wanted Arthur to find out too! Bless Will though. When everybody left the room, for a second there I thought Merlin would cure him but then I thought that would be a little silly. Loved the bit where Arthur turns up in the forest and Merlin is wondering around with a sword. Me and my brother were like 'Merlin looks so stupid with that sword', lo and behold Arthur thought the same thing! I liked the reverse-role armour thing too Aw it's just like a real couple XD I half expected them to kiss a couple of times but that's probably just my fan girl mind Bring on next week.

oh.my.word...the slash!!! this ep was amazing. sad that i am, i have already watched it 3 times...ok we'll just forget i said that...
i loved all the merlin/arthur moments, especially the reverse role armour thing, and i laughed so much when arthur showed up in the wood and told merlin to put the sword down cos he looked ridiculous XD
Im kinda miffed arthur didnt find out about merlin, but im pretty sure itll happen before the end of the series...hmm...thats gonna be an interesting episode whenever that happens.
"Merlin needs to make little things (aka episode 4 with the lightball thingy in the cave) and such to get Arthur away from the "magic=bad" thinking, and ease him up a bit before telling the whole truth " - yeh i would totally agree with that. Uthers brought him up well in the laws of the land. Although merlins arthurs friend, i could still be a little iffy if he fidns out while hes under the impression all magic is bad...
not sure about the whole unicorn thing next episode...ill wait and see before i pass judgement.

This episode was my favourite by far! I couldn't believe how many great scenes there were, my faves being Arthur helping Merlin put on his armour (aaawwww) and Merlin looking like he was about to tell Arthur his secret (wish he had, really wanted it to happen) and their discussion before going to sleep. Plus Merlins mum is cool! She ships merlin and arthur like the dragon does! It was an awesome episode, can't wait to see what happens next!

So thats Uther, the Dragon, Merlin's Mum, Morgana and Gwen that all ship Merlin/Arthur Just in case you didn't catch Morgana and Gwen, they both asked why Arthur was 'here', and replied, 'the same reason we are', 'Merlin'. And then all that stuff about he must really care for Merlin Squeeeee

Morgana looked really good in this episode. And I liked that Arthur/Gwen showed up. It was way less forced than I thought it would be (coughMerlin/Gwencough).
